Updates to Canada’s International Student Program Regulations

Starting November 15, 2024, Canada’s International Student Program will implement important changes aimed at offering international students more flexibility. These updates are intended to enhance the student experience while maintaining the integrity of Canada’s immigration system.

1. Increased Work Hours

International students can now work up to 24 hours per week off-campus during academic terms without needing a work permit, as long as they are enrolled full-time in an eligible program that lasts at least six months. 2. New Transfer Rules
